This is 9-year-old Presley! Presley is waiting for a family to love her — she hopes for a family with a mom, a dad and an older sister! Could you or someone you know be the right fit for Presley?
Holt staff have met Presley, and they report that she was very kind and eager to participate in the activities they brought. During their time with her, they could tell she had formed a close bond with another friend who was also there. Presley had a lot of fun with this friend, completing gross motor skill activities, picking out prizes and posing for the camera. Presley has a foundational understanding of adoption. She wants to be adopted one day so she can have a family!
Presley’s caregivers describe her as caring, kind, cooperative and cheerful. They say she follows the rules and respects authority. Initially, she can be shy but she becomes talkative around people she knows. She loves to play hide and seek and to play with Barbie dolls with friends. Presley likes to help with the younger children in the care center where she lives. Presley told Holt staff that she enjoys school, and her favorite subjects are art and language. One day, she hopes to become a doctor.
Presley needs a family who can offer her strong educational resources to help her grow and reach her potential. She would likely do well with an older sibling who can help guide her. The ideal adoptive family for Presley will understand institutionalization and be open to unknowns in her development.
