Willow Needs an Adoptive Family!

Willow needs an adoptive family! Could you or someone you know be the right fit for her?

Willow’s caregivers describe her as cheerful and sensitive. She enjoys playing with younger children at the care center where she lives. She is very gentle and caring with them. Willow is hoping to have younger siblings in her adoptive family, so she can be a good big sister to them!

Willow enjoys learning new things, but she sometimes struggles in school because she has a hard time concentrating and learns slower than her peers. She is motivated to improve her reading and writing skills, and works hard to do so! Willow considers herself a quiet person, but when she is comfortable she loves to laugh and play with her friends.

Willow also loves to do art and to run. She excels at drawing and painting! She is also a strong athlete who competes on the track team at her public school. Her favorite food is fried chicken! She thinks it would be fun to become a chef when she grows up.

Holt staff have visited Willow and had conversations about what adoption means with her. They learned that Willow has a strong desire to have an adoptive family, particularly an adoptive mom. The ideal adoptive family for Willow will be familiar with older child adoption and developmental trauma, as well as grief and loss. They should also have access to mental health and educational support for her as she develops.

If you think you could be the right family for Willow, please email us at [email protected]! Her face is hidden here due to country restrictions on privacy. However, our staff have recently interacted in-person with Willow and would love to share photos, videos and impressions. They all agree that “she was a sweetheart!”
