Ten-year-old Tanny is waiting for a permanent, loving family! She says she dreams of having a family, where she is cared for by parents and has siblings to love and spend time with.
Tanny is described as quiet and introverted. Her caregivers say she has a gentle nature and follows instructions well. She enjoys helping her caregivers around the center and taking care of the younger children. The last time she was asked, Tanny said she hoped to become a teacher someday.
Some of Tanny’s favorite activities are jumping rope, playing on the merry-go-round and watching children’s music videos. She can be shy around strangers but warms up when playing with her friends and people she knows well.
Tanny has some developmental delays and is small for her age. The best family for Tanny will have access to excellent educational and ESOL (English As Second Language) resources, and a knowledge of or willingness to learn about older child adoption. Her adoptive parent(s) should be motivated to build her up and encourage her self-expression. They should also be committed to helping Tanny reach her full potential!
Could you or someone you know be the right family for Tanny?
