Hi, I'm Le
I'm a girl, 3 years old and live in Vietnam.
Yen lives with her parents and her siblings in a near-poor household. Her parents used to sell food on the street before when they were healthy. In recent years, her parents have been sick and cannot sell like before. Her father has a bleeding nose, and her mother has kidney disease. The family had to borrow from neighbors and relatives to cover family expenses. Knowing the difficult situation of Yen’s family, the local authority referred Yen’s family to the Holt Vietnam program, they have received financial assistance to develop their livelihoods by opening a small store to sell some kind of snacks like dumplings, bread, fried rice at home, the profits from their business will help to ensure that their children can continue going to school without worries.
