Hi, I'm Thien Phuc
I'm a boy, 12 years old and live in Vietnam.
Thien Phuc faced adversity from a young age when he was abandoned shortly after birth. Fortunately, he was later adopted by a compassionate couple. Currently, he lives with his adoptive parents and their biological son. Phuc's father has been struggling with long-term unemployment following the Covid-19 pandemic and has not been able to secure stable employment. He works as a daily laborer with a low income and on days when there is no job, he helps his spouse who runs a coffee and beverage-selling business. Phuc's mother works tirelessly, but the combined income of his parents is not enough to cover the family's expenses, including the cost of school supplies for Phuc. His mother has been diagnosed with diabetes and pancreatitis, and she underwent gallbladder surgery, leading to additional monthly medication costs. The family's financial difficulties are impacting Phuc's education. The mother received financial assistance from our FPR program to expand her business.
