Hi, I'm Bich Ngoc
I'm a girl, 5 years old and live in Vietnam.
Ngoc has been through a terrible tragedy in her family. Her biological father, older brother, and sister died in a bomb explosion. Sadly, her mother also passed away shortly afterward following a long battle with illness. Ngoc moved in with her aunt's family, which consists of four persons (her aunt, uncle, and their son and daughter) and has a modest income. Her aunt works as a daily laborer and her uncle is also a daily laborer, doing tasks such as clearing thick grass or weeds from acacia fields, depending on the needs of the land’s owner. Despite their hard work, they struggle to cover the family's monthly expenses and school costs for the children. To increase their income, they have received financial assistance from our FPR program to start black pig farming, which will help support the family and ensure that Ngoc can continue her education.
