Hi, I'm Thinh
I'm a boy, 6 years old and live in Vietnam.
Nguyen Duc Thinh, born in 2018, currently resides in a small house in Vinh Ngoc commune in Nha Trang city with his parents and older brother. Thinh’s father restores books. Customers can place orders with him online or bring their damaged books to his store for restoration. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, his income was sufficient to meet the family's needs. Thinh’s mother used to work for a traditional XQ hand embroidery company. Due to the outbreak, the art shop was forced to close, leaving his mother jobless. Currently, his mother helps his father repair books while also embroidering pictures and adding her own paintings to the book restoration when clients request it. Without taking into account their monthly expenses and their children's school fees, the family currently struggles to pay the book store's rental, which comes to roughly $435 each month. The social worker referred this case to Day Care Project of Holt Vietnam for help with education support for Duc Thinh.
