Hi, I'm Vy
I'm a girl, 6 years old and live in Vietnam.
Le Thi An Vy, born in 2018, currently lives with her parents in a small rental room. Her father worked as an accountant in a construction company. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic caused his unemployment. He is now a driver working for a company specializing in building supplies. From her home, Vy's mother deals in plane tickets. The COVID-19 has drastically impacted her income. Her clientele decreased, and occasionally she goes an entire day without selling a single ticket. Despite their hard work, their total income is insufficient to cover the family expenses, not including the payment for the room, which comes with water and electric bills of about $100, the medical bills for the father’s ongoing treatment for persistent psoriasis, and Vy's school fees. Vy is studying in Kindergarten, but she is at risk of dropping out of school. The social worker referred this case to Day Care Project of Holt Vietnam for help with educational support for Vy.
