Hi, I'm Phu
I'm a boy, 6 years old and live in Vietnam.
Phan Thien Phu, born in 2019, is living with his twin brother, two older brothers, mother and grandmother in Vinh Hoa ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province. Phu’s mother faces challenging difficulties. She has four boys. Two of them are in kindergarten. Her oldest son is the fifth-grader at a local primary school and the other, born in 2018, is a severely disabled person with his congenital cerebral atrophy. She works for her owner in Ninh Hoa Town as a vendor at a food stand, which is 30 kilometers away from her home. She leaves for Ninh Hoa in the early morning and returns home in the late evening. Her monthly salary is about $240. Phu’s grandmother works from home, selling breakfast to neighborhood residents. She is the one entrusted with caring for these four kids. Phu is studying at SOS Nha Trang Kindergarten. However, he is at risk of dropping out of school. The social worker referred this case to Day Care Project of Holt Vietnam for help with education support for Phu.
