Hi, I'm Chi
I'm a girl, 12 years old and live in Vietnam.
Chi’s family has been in category of households living near poverty line since 2023. Her father passed away in 2018 due to a serious illness. Her mother is a seamstress at a local factory with a daily wage of 240,000 VND/day, working 8 hours from 7am to 5pm, with an unstable income due to the amount of work changing every month. With a peak month of about 25 days of work, the mother can earn 6 million VND. This amount of money is only enough to pay for tuition, study costs and food for three children for 1 month. In the months when the mother cannot work 25 days, the children often have to eat frugally and owe tuition fees.
