Hi, I'm Phuong
I'm a boy, 13 years old and live in Vietnam.
Phung Minh Phuong’s family belongs to the group of households experiencing financial hardship. She lives with her parents and an older brother. Her father was diagnosed with a medical condition in 2019 and then suffered a stroke in 2022. The family has relied on loans to cover her father’s treatment costs, accumulating approximately US$ 18750 in debt. Her brother graduated from college and is currently in an unpaid internship. To support the family, her mother sells mussels, snails, and clams, earning an estimated US$ 125 a month. Her mother’s income is insufficient for the family’s monthly expenses of US$ 417, including Phuong’s education, food for four, and her father’s medical costs. They have not received government assistance and must seek donations from relatives.
