Hi, I'm Phu
I'm a boy, 5 years old and live in Vietnam.
Phu's family is part of an ethnic minority and faces significant challenges in a remote area. He lives with his mother and his brother, who was born in 2016. Phu's parents are divorced, and his mother is a single parent raising two young children. She works as a hired vegetable cutter in the fields, earning around $102 a month, but her work is inconsistent. Despite her efforts, the family's total monthly income is very low and unstable, making it hard to meet the children's basic needs. Phu sometimes misses school because his mother cannot afford to pay for his school meals. To help Phu attend school regularly like other children, Holt began providing support for his school meals in early November 2024.
