Hi, I'm An
I'm a girl, 7 years old and live in Vietnam.
An’s family is an ethnic minority group. Her family is poor, so her parents have a lot of difficulty in their life. They don’t have enough money to pay for meals at school for An, so the child often misses her class. To help the child have a chance to go to school regularly like other kids, Holt pays for the child’s school meals. An is the youngest child in her family. She is living with her grandparents, her parents, and an older brother. Every day, her father works for hire as a construction worker to make a living. Her mother is hired to peel cashew's brown skin at a private enterprise. These jobs bring them a very low and unstable income, which is about nearly $ 110 a month. Their family doesn't have enough money to spend on the daily needs of their family and An's school meal fees.
