Hi, I'm Bao
I'm a boy, 10 years old and live in Vietnam.
The local authorities have referred this case to our office for assistance. Bao's parents have been taking care of his two cousins, Quynh My (13) and Ai Vy (14), in recent years as their own parents divorced and left. The income from his father's small-scale home-based fish ball-selling business, with old and worn-out equipment, is not enough to cover the family's living expenses. The father had to work as a motorbike taxi driver in his spare time to provide for his two children (aged 7 and 8) as well as support his two nieces. Recently, his grandfather (60) was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer, so the father cannot meet the nutritional and educational needs of all the children in the household.
