Quy's family is certified as a poor household in the commune. His parent got divorced when he was three years old. After that, he has been living with his maternal grandmother. There are two more members in his family including his uncle and a 13-year-old cousin who was left behind for his grandmother's care when he was 2 years old. Quy's grandmother is 68 years old and is paralyzed due to the effect of a stroke last year. She is dependent on all the care of her son, Quy's uncle. This young man is 34 years old and works as a taxi motorbike driver to feed a family of 4. However, he could not earn enough for daily living because he takes time to take care of his mother and two nephews. His motorbike has been broken recently and he could earn money. The current main income of the family from the subsidy for the disabled of Quy's grandmother is 30 USD a month. Therefore, the local authorities referred this case to the Holt organization for support.
