Hi, I'm Jadesadakorn
I'm a boy, 1 year old and live in Thailand.
The mother, aged 24, was arrested for stealing formula, resulting in a one-year suspended sentence. She was referred to receive HSF’s services on Nov 28, 2023. She was unemployed and had separated from her husband one month after the child’s birth. The social worker provided formula and paid for childcare to allow her to work. On Jan 12, 2024, she was arrested again on theft charges. The social worker sought out the child and his relatives. The father, aged 27, came forward; he is a security guard. The social worker visited the mother in prison and learned that she was 7 months pregnant. She wanted to place the child in HSF’s care temporarily, but the father disagreed and wanted to care for the child. HSF continued to provide formula and paid for childcare to ensure the child remained with his birth family. The mother was sentenced to 4.4 years in prison and gave birth to a baby girl. HSF monitors the child’s development and assesses and plans necessary support for the family.
