Hi, I'm Enkhmaa
I'm a girl, 7 years old and live in Mongolia.
Enkhmaa and her mother were in a summer health camp last summer and found out where and how to enroll in a kindergarten for disabled children. The kindergarten is a state-run and the only one in Mongolia that offers care to children aged 1.6-6 years old. The kindergarten also provides training for parents, helping them to understand and care for their special need child. Holt International has started a Child nutrition program for children in kindergarten. Enkhmaa was enrolled in the program at the kindergarten. Enkhmaa has cerebral palsy spastic tetraplegia, which affects all four limbs so she can't support her head, roll over, sit or crawl. She has microcephalia too. Enkhmaa is an only child. She lives with her parents. Farther is a public employer. Mother doesn't work, she looks after her daughter. They live in the Ger district, located far from the Kindergarten.
