Hi, I'm Munkhchimeg
I'm a girl, 15 years old and live in Mongolia.
Munkhchimeg enrolled in the 1st grade at the 118th general education school in the capital city at the age of 6 and received primary education. While studying in the lower grades, the mother worked away from home for three months at a time and would return home for 14 days before going back to work. During this time, the child stayed with siblings, but since they were kids themselves, they could not provide good care and attention. This negatively affected the child’s ability to learn. As the child progressed to the middle grades, she struggled to catch up with the learning gaps from the primary grades, and due to continuous academic delays, she missed a lot of classes. As a result, this led to the child dropping out of school. The child is now attending a lifelong learning center. Currently, the mother is no longer working due to health issues, and the household income is low, making it difficult to consistently provide quality food.
