Hi, I'm Lihor
I'm a girl, 7 years old and live in Cambodia.
Lihor was born into a family with financial difficulty, and this term she was introduced to the Holt Cambodia program by the village chief to get educational support. She is the only child in the family. The parents earn income from cleaning fish. Every morning, the father goes to buy fish at the market to clean and make dry fish. The mother responds by selling the fish, and she walks around the village to sell them. They can earn 5 to 10 dollars per day, but not regularly. The income does not cover the whole family's expenses because the family has to pay for the rented room, electricity, water, food, clothes, medicine, and other needs. Because of the hardship for the family, the village chief contacted Holt to do the assessment and enroll this child in our program. We will work closely with the village chief, village members, CCWC, and family to make sure this child can go to school regularly.
