Hi, I'm Phanith
I'm a boy, 5 years old and live in Cambodia.
Phanith was enrolled in the community preschool by his parents. His age was right for schooling and his parents believed that going to school could help him prepare well for grade 1. Phanith lives with his parents and an older sister. His father is a carpenter, and earns $12 a day. His mother grows rice and raises some ducks to gain more incomes to support the family. His sister is studying in 9th grade at secondary school. This family has sufficient food to eat and is better financially, but their children lack proper education because the public school is far from home. That is why they would like Phanith to study at a community preschool nearby, which is supported by Holt-International.
