Hi, I'm Senghorng
I'm a girl, 4 years old and live in Cambodia.
Senghorng was enrolled in the community preschool by her parents. Her age was right for schooling and her parents believed that going to school could help her prepare well for grade 1. Senghorng lives with her parents, grandparents, and an older sister. Her father is a welder, and earns 18$ a day. Her mother is a garment worker in the factory, and earns 204$ a month. Her grandparents grow rice and raise some animals to gain more incomes to support the family. Her sister is studying in 2nd grade at primary school. This family has sufficient food to eat and is better financially, but their children lack proper education because the public school is far from home. That is why they would like Senghorng to study at a community preschool nearby, which is supported by Holt-International.
