Hi, I'm Laly
I'm a girl, 5 years old and live in Cambodia.
Laly was enrolled in the community preschool by her parents. Her age was right for schooling and her parents believed that going to school could help her prepare well for grade 1. Laly lives with her parents, grandparents, and two older brothers. Her parents work in Phnom Penh; her father works for a construction company and earns $350 a month. Her mother works for an online shop and earns $400 a month. Her grandparents grow rice and raise some animals, and they take care of grandchildren. Her brother are students. This family has sufficient food to eat and is better financially, but their children lack proper education because the public school is far from home. That is why they would like Laly to study at a community preschool nearby, which is supported by Holt-International.
