Hi, I'm ThorngKhwan
I'm a girl, 4 years old and live in Cambodia.
ThorngKhwan was enrolled in the community preschool by her parents. Her age was right for schooling and her parents believed that going to school could help her prepare well for grade 1. ThorngKhwan lives with her parents and an older brother. This family lives in their own house, and they have land for growing rice. They also do not live in debt. Her father is a construction worker, and earns 15$ a day. Her mother stays at home to take care of childreb, grows rice, and raises some animals. Her brother is studying in 8th grade at secondary school. This family has sufficient food to eat and is better financially, but their children lack proper education because the public school is far from home. That is why they would like ThorngKhwan to study at a community preschool nearby, which is supported by Holt-International.
