Hi, I'm Phanit
I'm a boy, 5 years old and live in Cambodia.
Phanit was enrolled in the community preschool by his parents. His age was right for schooling and his parents believed that going to school could help him prepare well for grade 1. Phanit lives with his mother, grandparents, two sisters, and a cousin. He is the last child in the family. His parents got divorced 2 years ago. His father never supports him anything. His mother and older sister are working in Phnom Penh, as garment workers, and earns 200$ a month in each person. His grandparents grow rice and raise some animals to gain more incomes. His sister is studying in grade 5 at primary school. His cousin is small and hiss age is not right to attend school yet. This family has sufficient food to eat and better financial, but their children lack in proper education because the public school is far from home that is why they would like Phanit to study at community preschool nearby which is supported by Holt-International.
