Hi, I'm Lai-Ey
I'm a girl, 13 years old and live in Cambodia.
Lai-Ey was selected through the recommendation from her village chief.
Her physical and mental health was fine upon enrollment.
Lai-Ey lives with her parents and two younger sisters. She is an older sister in the family. This family lives in a small house 5x6 meter made of zinc wall and roof. They do not have rice land for growing rice. They live in debt because they borrow money from bank to build a small house. Her father is the breadwinner of the family; he is a construction worker, and earns USD 10 a day, but it is not regular. Her mother catches snail at the rice field to sell at the market in order to gain more incomes, and earns USD 1.25 a day to buy rice for her children. Her first sister is a student in 2nd grade at primary school and another sister does not attend school yet. The family lives in a difficult situation, lacking of foods, rice and money to support their children. Therefore, Lai-Ey needs sponsorship in order to support her education.
