Hi, I'm Sakana
I'm a girl, 6 years old and live in Cambodia.
Sakana is selected through her enrollment in our community-based preschool. She belongs to a very poor family in the community. She has not sufficient food to eat and lacks in proper education. She looked physically and mentally fine at the time of enrollment into the program. She does not have good hygiene and dress well yet. Sakana lives in extended family such as parents, grandparents, an aunt, an uncle, and two cousins. This family lives in a small house 4x5 meters made of old wood with zinc roof rusty. Her parents kept her with the grandparents when she was 2 months old because they need to work; they rarely send money and visit their daughter. Her grandparents are famers; they grow rice and raise some chicken in order to support the family. Besides this, her grandfather dose construction in the community, and earns USD 7 a day, but it is not regular; he has Hemorrhoids. His aunt and uncle are famers. Her cousins are students.
