Hi, I'm Nimol
I'm a girl, 4 years old and live in Cambodia.
Nimol was enrolled in the community preschool by her parents. Her age was right for schooling and her parents believed that going to school could help her prepare well for grade 1. Nimol lives with her parents and grandparents. She is a single child in the family. Her parents work in Phnom Penh; her father is a construction worker and earns $12.5 a day, and her mother is a garment worker and earns $220 a month. Her grandfather works with her father in Phnom Penh, and earns $10 a day. Her grandmother stays at home to take care of granddaughter. This family has sufficient food to eat and is better financially, but their children lack proper education because the public school is far from home. That is why they would like Nimol to study at a community preschool nearby, which is supported by Holt-International.
