Even during a pandemic, Holt sponsors went above and beyond to send special International Day of the child birthday gifts to their sponsored children!
While most of the birthday celebrations were postponed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, that doesn’t mean they won’t happen!
In fact, we just heard from our staff in China who went above and beyond to safely visit and deliver their sponsors’ gifts to children who were in greatest need! The gifts were a bit different than usual, to help meet specific needs because of the coronavirus, but they were just as special.
Children received masks, disinfectant wipes and other supplies to keep them healthy. (Our China staff obscured the children’s faces for privacy)
Sponsors donated over 400 children’s books to sponsored children and their friends.
And Holt social workers shared encouragement and hope with the children as they visited.
So whether your sponsored child lives in China — or in India, Korea, Ethiopia Uganda or in another country — know that they are being taken care of by our staff on the ground. Because of you! Thank you so much for helping them feel celebrated.
