On June 1, the International Day of the Child, our staff around the world will hold a very special birthday party for boys and girls in Holt’s programs — children who haven't seen many celebrations in their young lives. For families living in poverty, a birthday party for their child is often a luxury they can't afford. And limited resources make it difficult to give children living in orphanage care the extra special attention they deserve on their birthday.
But you can make a child's birthday special and meaningful! Every $25 you give helps to provide a party or celebration, birthday gift, special meal and precious memories for a vulnerable child in one of our programs overseas. "These special gifts have made it possible for HSF to help widen the world for the students and their teachers from the remote community who seldom have this kind of opportunity. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!"
"We thank Holt for helping these children coming from migrant families. They were able to celebrate this event with such joy and we know for sure this would not have been possible otherwise."
"We would like to thank you a lot for your kindness and generous donation so that these vulnerable children could have such a fun occasion together and know that they are cared for and loved. Your contribution has been a big, meaningful encouragement to the children."
"Children get an opportunity to receive gifts from their sponsors and get an opportunity to celebrate — to sing, to dance, to cut a cake and have fun! It's a day when many of them get an opportunity to celebrate their birthdays!"
"The children showcased their talents in dancing and singing led by their daycare leaders. They truly enjoyed the activity, the food treat and the Jollibee mascot. They were all happy and excited with the gifts. Their parents expressed their gratitude to KBF and Holt International for sponsoring this annual exciting activity."
"This special event was a good opportunity for children to express their rights and to participate through singing, playing popular games and a question-and-answer session. The children enjoyed themselves and had a happy time eating healthy food and talking and playing together for fun."
