Hi, I'm Khanh Ngan
I'm a girl, 4 years old and live in Vietnam.
Khanh Ngan lives with her older brother and mother. Her father is unknown. Her mother quit her job as a seamstress when she found a new opportunity as a daily worker in a nearby stone mining company. Unfortunately, the company only hired men, and her mother experienced several months of unemployment. She borrowed money from the neighbors to buy a sugarcane juicer machine to sell sugarcane juice. She also sold stuffed rice pancakes and banana fritters. Her income couldn't cover the family’s monthly expenses. Furthermore, she was recently diagnosed with Basedow’s disease, worsening her health and increasing the financial burden for her treatment. Thankfully, she has received financial assistance from our FPR program to start a small home-based grocery store. With this support, she was able to fix the broken rotating shaft of the sugarcane juicer machine, allowing her to restart her business. This will help her support her family and ensure that her children continue to go to school.
