Hi, I'm Xuan
I'm a girl, 10 years old and live in Vietnam.
Thanh Xuan’s family, composed of a 9-year-old girl, is facing an economic crisis because the funds from the mother’s (45) fruit and vegetable sales have been used to cover medical expenses for the grandmother (77). The grandmother has long suffered from diabetes and recently had a stroke in July 2024, resulting in her inability to walk. The income from the mother’s business, along with the father’s (52) work as a construction laborer—who was born deaf—is insufficient to meet the living and educational needs of Xuan and her older brother, who is currently in grade 12. The family is considered low-income.
