Hi, I'm Nicharpat
I'm a girl, 1 year old and live in Thailand.
Nicharpat’s birth mother was referred to HSF Unplanned Pregnancy Program by a social worker at Siriraj Hospital where she gave birth to Nicharpat. She requested HSF to receive her baby into care on a temporary basis because she herself is drug addicted, the baby’s father needed a period of time to get psychiatric treatment for his mental health issue, and both of them also have a 7-year-old son to care for. The birth mother would then need to have a period of time to be better prepared to parent Nicharpat in the future. The baby was placed to a foster home right after she was received to HSF’s care. The ongoing support for the baby’s overall needs and placement supervision by the social worker during the period that Nicharpat is in foster care and meanwhile, to work with the baby’s birth parents as they are trying to improve their situation will be provided by HSF until the child is placed in a permanent family.
