During our Special Needs Project trip, we had a one-day camp with various activities and Rachel had so much fun at this camp interacting with everyone and participating in the group activities! She sought out people to talk to – even with the language barrier, she still wanted to talk to us. She had fun making her own dessert and playing with slime.
Rachel is said to be a confident, happy, and respectful child. She responds well to affection, praise and calm explanations. An ideal adoptive family for Rachel is patient, kind and should utilize TBRI techniques to practice connection before correction. They should understand the impacts of abuse and neglect, and have access to different kinds of therapies.
If you think you or someone you know could be the right family for Rachel, please email our waiting child team at [email protected]! We cannot share photos of her publicly due to country restrictions on privacy. However, we do have more photos and videos available to share with prospective families.
