This Easter, we wish you peace, joy and hope for the coming year. Last Easter, we were just weeks into this global pandemic that has taken so many lives and affected all of us around the world. At a time when we typically gather together in a spirit of hope and renewal, many of us instead felt a growing sense of fear and uncertainty. We asked you to pray with us for our families, our communities, and for the children and families we serve together with you.
This Easter, we ask you once again to pray with us for an end to this unprecedented global crisis. The magnitude of this crisis, the number of lives lost, has been far too great to ever fully go back to normal. But although it’s not over yet, we see rays of hope in our communities and in the communities where we work around the world. Most of all, because of your kindness and generosity this past year, children and families in our programs are safe and well and continue to weather this crisis. They feel full of hope, because of you.
As you gather with friends and loved ones on Easter — whether in person or via Zoom — we wish you the same sense of hope that you have brought to so many vulnerable children and families. We know many of you are waiting to unite with your child, and we are praying that time will come soon. We are also working hard to ensure everything moves swiftly and smoothly, once travel resumes.
From all of us at Holt, we wish you and your family a joyful, hopeful Easter. And as always, thank you for being part of our family, the Holt family.
