Hi, I'm Tam Dan
I'm a girl, 3 years old and live in Vietnam.
Tam Dan lives with her grandparents and parents. Her mother became pregnant with Tam Dan during the COVID-19 outbreak, experiencing symptoms that led her to stay in an isolation camp. Unfortunately, this situation resulted in Tam Dan being born with multiple disabilities, which include neurological, mental, intellectual, visual, and mobility impairments. Tam Dan's grandparents run a home-based food stall, selling rice noodle soup, while her father works as a contract laborer for an Aviation Ground Services Company. Tam Dan's mother stays home to care for Tam Dan and manage household responsibilities. Despite their efforts, the family's combined income is insufficient to cover basic needs, let alone Tam Dan's nutritional and educational requirements. Fortunately, Tam Dan can attend school all day thanks to daycare support from Holt Vietnam. This assistance allows her mother to start an online food-selling business to increase the family's income.
