Hi, I'm Bich Yen
I'm a girl, 2 years old and live in Vietnam.
Yen lives with her grandparents, mother, and five uncles in a low-income family. Four uncles are school-aged, while the youngest is one. Due to financial constraints, Yen only attends school in the mornings. Her mother, a farmer, cultivates bananas on their modest land. Farming is seasonal and yields low, inconsistent income. Yen's grandparents help, but their earnings don't cover essential expenses, making it hard to meet Yen's nutritional and educational needs. Fortunately, they receive daycare support from Holt Vietnam, allowing her mother to send her to school all day and seek additional work to boost their income.
