Hi, I'm Khanh
I'm a boy, 11 years old and live in Vietnam.
Khanh was born with Duchenne’s Syndrome, which is a mobility disorder. He lives with his parents, who are both laborers, and earn a low income. Up until the Pandemic, he was taken care of by his grandparents. During the Pandemic, he spent the time at home with his father, and following that, he spent some time at a local kindergarten while his parents were at work. Neither the kindergarten, nor the the family, know how to assist with Khanh’s many issues, which include being unable to walk, having problems eating and swallowing, and some cognitive delay. Khanh very much needed to come to a facility such as the Kianh Center, which has the knowledge and experience to support Khanh with all of his challenges, as well as being able to provide some education to his family on how to best care for their child.
