Hi, I'm Giang
I'm a girl, 13 years old and live in Vietnam.
Giang gets daycare services at the Kianh Center which provides proper care for children with disabilities, including education, physical therapy and speech therapy. Holt International provides financial assistance to all children in care there. Giang was a rubella baby, the virus causing several impairments such as sight and hearing loss and a congenital heart condition. Giang and her family were in crisis because there is nowhere else in the nearby area that can help her in her development, nor would accept her due to her disability. Giang’s father is a truck driver and her mother is a cashier; they do not have a particularly high income. Although Giang was accepted at a kindergarten, the staff there could not manage her and she seems to have suffered some traumatic experience there.
