Hi, I'm Khai
I'm a boy, 3 years old and live in Vietnam.
Khai’s family is in a difficult situation in Vien Noi, Ung Hoa. His parents are slow, have unstable jobs, and do whatever they are hired to do. But they are in poor health, have poor awareness, and are often sick, so their income is meager. The child’s mother stays at home to farm and look after the children. The average family income is 4 million VND/month (under $180), insufficient for food, living expenses, utilities, and children's education. They live in a cramped, grandparent-built house with two small bedrooms (10 m2 each) and a corrugated iron roof. With many children, the space is tight. They received aid from Holt Vietnam to buy a sewing machine for income generation.
