Linh Ung’s family is one of the households living near the poverty line in Van Kim commune, My Duc district, Hanoi, Vietnam. She lived with her mother, brother, and paternal grandparents after her father passed away. Her mother is the only income earner of the family. She makes a living from sewing with a salary of approximately $140 a month.
