Hi, I'm Mai
I'm a girl, 6 years old and live in Vietnam.
Ngo Ngoc Tuyet Mai and her older brother live with their grandparents in Yen Truong hamlet, Ung Hoa district, Hanoi, Vietnam. After their father passed away in a traffic accident when Mai was a toddler, their mother left them to their grandparents and went away. Mai’s family is one of households living near poverty line as categorized by the government and receive the government subsidy of about $35 per month. The grandparents earn a living from manual rice transplanting and scrap collecting, but the income is small and unstable.
