Hi, I'm Nattida
I'm a girl, 8 years old and live in Thailand.
Nattida is the first daughter of her mother and lives with her mother and grandfather. At the time of admission, the mother was 7 months pregnant with her third child and intended to place the newborn boy under the foundation’s care due to the father’s abandonment and lack of responsibility. The mother is unemployed and also responsible for another child (a half-brother of Nattida) who is of school age. The family’s income comes from the grandfather, who is blind in both eyes and earns a living by singing at local markets. The family also receives government welfare, including a disability allowance for the grandfather, a child support grant for the second child, and state welfare cards for both the grandfather and the mother. The mother is concerned about the family’s financial situation. The hospital referred the family for counseling on family planning after the birth of the third child and for educational support for both Nattida and her younger brother.
