Hi, I'm Panisara
I'm a girl, 3 years old and live in Thailand.
Panisara and her older brother were under the care of their grandparents after their parents separated. The mother moved the children back from Bangkok to live with the grandparents. At intake, Panisara was 2 years and 9 months old, spoke very little, and had difficulty adjusting and communicating after relocating from central to southern Thailand. She drank milk from a bottle and often displayed demanding behavior. The mother was unemployed and worried about the family’s income. The grandparents worked in a mangosteen orchard, while the grandmother earned additional income by selling vegetables at local markets. The household income was insufficient to cover expenses, so the school referred the family to apply for an educational support grant for Panisara.
