Hi, I'm Peeraphat
I'm a boy, 8 years old and live in Thailand.
Peeraphat lives with both parents. He is the eldest child, having 3 younger sisters. The father breeds red-whiskered bulbuls, magpie-robins, and chickens for sale, and in his free time, he works as a motorcycle taxi driver to earn extra income. The mother is unemployed, as she has young children at home to care for. Their house is rather damp and smells of bird and chicken droppings. The front door was rarely opened because the parents were afraid the children might run onto the road, which affected the family’s overall quality of life. Peeraphat had hygiene issues, dirt buildup in skin folds and tooth decay. Since the father was the sole income earner, the family’s earnings were insufficient to cover household expenses. Therefore, the community leader referred the family to receive educational support for the child and his younger siblings.
