Hi, I'm Baatarkhuu
I'm a boy, 8 years old and live in Mongolia.
Tuv province’s center is Zuunmod soum, which is the most populated urban area within its province. Zuunmod soum has the largest number of vulnerable families, its population is dense and has high unemployment rate, which are the main factors for implementing the Family Strengthening Program. The members of families at risk are unemployed with no income other than the child support money from the government. The family lives in the Zuunmod soum. The parents are unemployed and has two children. The father is not financially stable to support his son. Without job and unable to support his child the father approached Social Service of Department of province for help. The department asked us to support this family and we enrolled the child Baatarkhuu in the program.
He had physical disabilities during admitting in the program.
Baatarkhuu lives with his parents and her brother. The family lives in the their own Ger dwelling. The mother cannot work because she takes care of Baatarkhuu. The father has daily work. The family’s income is money from the Social Welfare Service. It is not sufficient to fully support both of her and her sibling’s necessary supply and daily meal. The family lives in a poor condition lacking of food.
