I'm a girl, 6 years old and live in Mongolia.
Even though Tarialan is the largest soum that has advance development of agriculture, there are number of social issues in relation with its large number of populations. Most households don’t have sustainable income source and majority of them have seasonal work based on environment and livestock farming. For example, picking wild fruits & nuts in summer, cutting hay and harvesting vegetables and crops in autumn and combing goats in spring. Due to these seasonal works, the majority of households of Tarialan soum. Foods and consumer goods are very expensive compared with center of province or Ulaanbaatar city. The family live in the countryside and has few livestock. The family has four younger children. Without constant income and unable to support their children mother approached the Committee for Supporting Livelihood of soum for help.
Munkhnaran was healthy during admitting in program.
The family's living condition is below the poverty level. The family has 6 members, they have 4 children. The parents have a few numbers of livestock and lives in countryside. The mother is housewife, takes care of her children. The child support fund from the government is the only income the family has for living. The family lives in a poorly maintained Ger dwelling. The family lost many livestock from heavy snowfall last winter.
