Hi, I'm Oyuntuya
I'm a girl, 12 years old and live in Mongolia.
Oyuntuya's family lives in vulnerable conditions in a remote area of the city. Both parents are unemployed, only finding temporary work for a minimum wage. They are struggling to make a living and approached the Social Services Department of the District for support. The department asked us to help the family and we enrolled Oyuntuya in the Family Strengthening Program.
Oyuntuya was healthy upon admission.
Her mother is pregnant. They live in a Ger dwelling which has very little fuel. The coal is expensive and they cannot afford to buy and keep their dwelling warm. They receive child support funds of only 20,000 tugrik ($12) per month, per child, from the government.
