Hi, I'm Kompheak
I'm a boy, 4 years old and live in Cambodia.
Kompheak was enrolled in the community preschool by his grandparents. His age was right for schooling and his grandparents believed that going to school could help him prepare well for grade 1. Kompheak lives with his mother and grandparents. His parents got divorced when he was 5 months old, and his father did not support him anything. His mother supports him alone. His mother is a garment worker, and earns $320 a day. His grandparents are farmers; they grow rice and raise some animals. This family has sufficient food to eat and is better financially, but their children lack proper education because the public school is far from home. That is why they would like Kompheak to study at a community preschool nearby, which is supported by Holt-International.
