Hi, I'm Sarak

Sarat was selected through the recommendation from his village chief and Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC). The family is in Poor II category. Because of the family's bad financial situation, the child does not get sufficient nutrition intake. This family lives in a small house made of concrete with zinc roof. They have a little land for growing rice, especially during their growing rice they need to pay enough moneys. They live in debt because they borrow money (3000$) from bank to build the house and need to repay the bank (200$) every month. He lives with her parents, four sisters, and a brother. He is the last child in the family. His father and an older brother are construction worker in Phnom Penh, and earn 7$ a day in each, but it is not regular. His older sister dropped out of in grade 7 in order to work; she is a garment worker in the province, and earns 180$ a day plus overtime. Her mother stays at home to take care of children. His three sisters are students.
