Hi, I'm Phanith
I'm a boy, 10 years old and live in Cambodia.
Phanith was selected through the recommendation from his village chief. Because of the family's bad financial situation, the child does not get sufficient nutrition intake. He also lacks in proper education.
He looked physically and mentally fine at the time of enrollment into the program.
Phanith lives with his parents, an older sister, and a younger brother. This family lives in small house 5x6 meter made of wood with zinc roof. They live in debt because they loan money from the bank to buy rice land for growing rice, and they need to pay back USD 69 a month. His father is the breadwinner of the family; he is a garment worker in Phnom Penh, and earns USD 200 a month; he always sends USD 100 to support the family and also pay back to the bank. His mother stays at home to take care of children. His sister is a student in 5th grade at primary school. His brother is 4 years old. The family lives in a difficult situation, lacking of foods, rice and money to support their children. Therefore, Phanith needs sponsorship in order to support his education.
